For a while now, we’ve wanted to connect with our readers a bit more often and with a bit more substance than just, “Oh, hey! We’ve got a new book!” At the same time, we know your inbox is full, and we didn’t want to add to the noise.
We started with our podcast (which has had over 1.4K downloads! Thank you!) and had some great conversations with authors about the writing process. We look forward to continuing The Banderpod with short seasons in the months and years to come. But for us to keep up The Banderpod—along with publishing books, managing our other work, doing our own writing, and living our lives—it must be seasonal and doesn’t quite meet our hope of regular connection with you.
So we find ourselves here, on a Substack, writing words about words. We can’t promise to be eloquent every time, but in each email, you’ll hear some bookish thoughts from a member of our Bandersnatch team, see highlights of what’s coming up (in-person events, releases, submission periods, etc.), catch a glimpse of what’s happening on social media, and read a literary quote we love (sometimes from our books, sometimes from other books!).
We plan to send these emails about once a week. If that’s too often for you, we understand, and we won’t hold it against you if don’t sign up. But if you want to be the very first to know everything happening at Bandersnatch Books, join us here!
May 14: Mari in the Margins release day!

Looking forward to the notes!
